About This Spot

Stepping into Little Oddfellows feels like slipping into a quiet corner of a neighborhood where time slows just enough to savor the little things—a rich cup of coffee, the soft rustle of pages, the gentle murmur of focused conversation. Nestled behind a bookstore in Capitol Hill, this coffee shop offers a refuge from Seattle’s usual buzz, with an intimate atmosphere that invites you to pause and truly settle in.

The pace here is unhurried, the air filled with the comforting scent of fresh brews mingling with baked goods. It’s the kind of place where morning light filters softly through windows, warming well-worn wooden tables and cozy nooks. Whether you’re flipping through a newly discovered novel or sharing a quiet moment with a friend, the mood feels quietly reflective—calm but alive with quiet purpose.

Little Oddfellows keeps its menu telling a story of simple pleasures and thoughtful pairings. Expect the kind of offerings that feel made for lingering moments: a perfectly pulled mocha, a luscious salted caramel latte, crisp croissants, and house-baked pastries that invite you to steal one more bite. Breakfast dishes lean toward comforting and hearty, with satisfying twists like shakshouka or chorizo hash, helping to keep the cozy vibe balanced with a touch of bright spice and heat.

While the space is modest and seating can fill quickly—especially on weekends—the limited room adds to its charm, turning every corner into a small world of shared calm. The ambiance lends itself to quiet study sessions or relaxed catch-ups, punctuated by the hum of espresso machines and occasional friendly exchanges behind the counter. Here, the imperfect rhythms of a neighborhood café make it feel honest and lived-in, a genuine spot to slow down, sip, and savor little moments that often go unnoticed.

Favorite spot to grab coffee and study. I love their salted caramel latté and chocolate chip cookies. Sometimes, the baristas are too busy talking to each other while helping customers which I find a bit rude.

Tucked behind a bookstore in Capitol Hill, Little Oddfellows is one of Seattle’s hidden gems. The coffee is solid, but what really makes this place special is the atmosphere — think quiet bookstore vibes with the aroma of fresh brews. It’s the perfect place to sip a latte and flip through a new read. That said, seating is limited and it can get crowded fast, especially on weekends. But worth checking out for the ambiance alone.

coffee is just fine, but the chai is pretty tasty (imo)! there's usually very limited seating available on weekends, but if you can get there early the environment here is perfect for studying or meeting a friend and catching up!

Espresso itself I think has too much of a roasted/borderline burnt flavor, so the latte wasn't the best, but overall a nice space, good prices, a good place to hang, read, and work as well.

The pumpkin muffin is amazing, it’s great to be surrounded by books while working or reading. Only thing — the cappuccino was quite scalding so it burnt the taste a little, but it was nice once it cooled down. Also, the internet tends to not work, so heads up if you’re planning on studying here. Great music taste, too.

Tasty place for breakfast with a good amount of dishes to choose from and also a kids menu. They do have kids high chairs and a ramp for strollers it’s just not right at the main door

Very cute cafe and a great space to read or study inside Elliot Bay Bookstore. There are many seats in the space, but keep in mind it can quickly get crowed on weekends. It’s a great spot to come by on a weekend morning for a cup of coffee, then walk around the store for new reads.

The staff was friendly, the atmosphere was relaxed, warm and inviting. If you go on the weekends, expect a wait. I stood in line for about 15 minutes and another 5 minutes for my coffee. I have been there during the week and it wasn't busy. The blueberry sconce was good, and the mocha was delicious. It's definitely a cool little place to sip a coffee while reading a book purchased from the bookstore.
